Dragonfly

About Dragonfly

Our technology generates lift and thrust by the flapping-wings method, which produces less noise than a regular car in the city. We are deeply convinced that urban air transport should be convenient for passengers as well as citizens. It is not possible to implement this using Multi Rotor Air Vehicle, in contrast to the implementation of Flapping Wing Aircraft as the main urban air vehicle.

On-road vehicles generate more traffic and thus increase the Estimated Time to Arrival to different destinations. The average citizen loses about 54 hours per year due to traffic, and about a 2.7million hours for all residents of the city, which is equivalent to 300 years. The ecological situation in megacities deserves a special word, which is getting catastrophically worse from year to year due to the huge amount of carbon monoxide released. Cars are responsible for 41% of the CO2 emissions.

At Daedalus, we are to face competing solutions to provide the best reliable and friendly transportation system that modern citizens deserve.

Advantages

Modular and adaptive design

First aircraft designed for the cities of the future

  • Low noise level is making city aircraft feasible
  • Highest safety level among all of our Air Mobility competitors
  • Drastic reduction in the number of cars on the streets of the city

More about safety

The length of the Dragonfly wings is much longer than the blades of the multi-rotor aircraft propellers. This reduces the speed of movement tenfold, which leads to an increase in the safety of passengers and other surrounding people during takeoff and landing.

The design of the Dragonfly assumes resistance to the emergency breakdown of one or even a pair of wings for an emergency landing.

An ejection system with the ballistic parachute is also provided. It works along with the cabin, which acts as a rescue capsule during the emergency landing.

MAKING SCIENCE FICTION A PROVEN FACT
